At FIT Gymnastics Academy, we are dedicated to nurturing the talents and passions of young gymnasts in a supportive and inspiring environment. Our mission is to provide top-notch gymnastics training that emphasizes skill development, personal growth, and a love for the sport. We believe in empowering our athletes to achieve their full potential both on and off the mat.

Coach Erin

Coach Erin’s journey in gymnastics and dance began at the tender age of two. With a rich background in competitive gymnastics through 8th grade and dance throughout high school and college, Erin's passion for these disciplines is unmatched. She earned a minor in dance from Michigan State University, and while she humorously downplays this achievement, her dedication to the art is evident.

Erin’s coaching career started in 2014 at a gym in the Grand Rapids area, where she coached recreational gymnastics. By 2015, she had transitioned into coaching competitive gymnastics. When the gym she was coaching at closed in October 2018, just before the competitive season was set to begin, her athletes inspired her to take a bold step. Erin founded FIT Gymnastics Academy, initially renting space from Empowered Athletics.

In September 2019, Erin moved the academy to Coopersville with her competitive athletes, and despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, the gym officially opened in spring 2021. By fall 2021, the recreational program was fully underway, marking the beginning of a new chapter for FIT Gymnastics Academy. Erin’s commitment to her athletes and the sport continues to drive the academy’s success.

Coach Karl

Coach Karl brings a diverse athletic background to FIT Gymnastics Academy. Having played soccer and participated in diving through high school, Karl's experiences have equipped him with a unique perspective on athletic training and discipline. He has lived in both Florida and Michigan, enriching his coaching style with varied influences.

Karl’s approach to coaching is rooted in his love for sports and his belief in the power of athletics to shape character and build lifelong skills. His enthusiasm and dedication make him a valuable member of the FIT Gymnastics Academy team.
